We finished our study in Nové Strašecí

We recently completed a study in the town of Nové Strašecí, which is located in the Central Bohemian Region. The aim of the study was to work up an Assessment of Solution Possibilities for Energy Supply Development and Changes in the town.

The town of Nové Strašecí planned for extensive renovation measures in the District Heating (DH) systems to take place in 2020 and 2021. However, the energy market crisis of autumn 2021, amplified by the Russian aggression against Ukraine in 2022, rendered the original plans uneconomical. This, exacerbated by the looming possibility of end consumers being disconnected from DH, complicated the decision making process of Nové Strašecí town representatives regarding further investment actions connected to DH operation and maintenance. The Study defines possible alternative technologies that can be used to diversify and modernize energy sources, which will lead to considerable cost savings for the Client. Municipally owned buildings were used in creating an energy concept for energy saving purposes. The final part of the study provides a definition, current legislative options, and individual steps in the process of establishing an Energy Community.
