Zuzana Laugier joined EPDOR to push our nuclear ambitions

13/05/2021

We have been thrilled to see our team grow yet again in recent months as we have welcomed Zuzana Laugier, a seasoned expert in the nuclear industry with close to 10 years of experience in the field. Zuzana has taken over the newly established EPDOR Nuclear branch.

After completing her master's degree at Brno University of Technology, she was invited to the Paluel NPP in Normandy, where she discovered the world of atomic energy. As she was enchanted by the nuclear power plants, she spent full 4 years working at the EDF engineering center in Marseille and then another 5 years at various nuclear power plants in France, focusing mainly on maintenance, construction of new modification projects related to the Fukushima nuclear disaster and life extension of nuclear units. She was also responsible for communication with the Nuclear Energy Authority in France (ASN). After 9 years at EDF, she became a member of the team leader of the Compagnie Nationale du Rhone (CNR), where she focused on the operation and maintenance of hydropower plants.

Currently, Zuzana is communicating with numerous partners and potential clients, trying to create partnerships between Czech and French companies and identify viable projects both in the Czech Republic nad worldwide. A part of this effort is organizing a nuclear event in Paris in cooperation with the Czech embassy, which has seen several postponements due to the COVID-related restrictions. We wish her best of luck in her endeavours!
